About the position
The School Based Nurse (LPN/RN) position involves providing dedicated 1:1 care to an elementary student in a school district near Redmond, Washington. The role focuses on essential nursing tasks such as trach care, suctioning, and mobility assistance, ensuring the student's health and safety during school hours and transportation.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 nursing care to a 1st-grade student.
- Assist with trach care and suctioning as needed.
- Ensure safety during bus rides to and from school.
- Provide mobility assistance, including wheelchair tie-downs on the bus.
- Work on a modified school schedule (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday).
Requirements
- Valid WA RN or LPN license.
- Minimum of 1+ years nursing experience required.
- Proficiency in trach care and suctioning is required.
- School nursing experience or pediatric experience is preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working with elementary school students.
- Knowledge of special needs care.
