The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position involves supporting students in a school district in Bensenville, IL, by assisting with speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). The role focuses on enhancing communication skills among students and collaborating with educators and families to ensure effective therapy delivery.
Responsibilities
- Assist with speech and language therapy services under the supervision of an SLP
- Work with students to enhance communication skills
- Document and report progress to SLPs and staff
- Support the development of individualized plans
Requirements
- Active SLPA license in Illinois
- Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
