About the position

The School Behavior Technician role at Holding Hands OpCo LLC involves providing behavioral support to students with developmental disabilities using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. The technician will work closely with students in a school setting, offering 1:1 care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to customize interventions that promote academic, social, and emotional success. This position requires a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment and engaging in ongoing training and supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 behavioral support for students using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
  • Analyze environmental factors affecting students' ability to access their curriculum.
  • Collaborate with the student's support team to achieve educational goals.
  • Participate in ongoing training and supervision by a BCBA or ABA Supervisor.
  • Customize interventions based on each learner's skills, needs, and preferences.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus completed college courses (60 units) OR an associate's degree.
  • 1 year or more of ABA experience, including working with challenging behaviors.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift at least 10 pounds, sit, and run as needed.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • RBT Certification.
  • CPR certification for both pediatrics and adults.
  • Experience managing a variety of maladaptive behaviors.
  • Bilingual skills.
