About the position
MSAD 11 is looking for licensed School Bus Drivers for the 2024-2025 school year. This full-time position requires driving a school bus for approximately 25 hours per week, providing safe transportation for students. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude and enjoy working with children.
Responsibilities
- Drive a school bus safely and efficiently to transport students to and from school and related activities.
- Ensure the safety of all passengers while on the bus.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Requirements
- Current CHRC authorization through the State of Maine Department of Education.
- Class B - S&P Endorsement required.
- Must pass an annual physical examination.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in handling and maneuvering a school bus.
- Ability to drive in adverse driving conditions.
