About the position
The School Nurse - RN position at PediaStaff is a full-time contract role located at a boarding school in northwest Connecticut. The role is designed for a professional and friendly Registered Nurse who will be a key member of a team supporting an inclusive learning community for students. The position requires working three night shifts per week, totaling 36 hours, and is set to start on January 6th, 2025, and end on March 7th, 2025.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to students in a school setting.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Maintain accurate health records for students.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
- Collaborate with school staff to promote health education and wellness programs.
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut or eligibility to be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut.
- CPR certification.
- 3 years of RN experience.
