Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one nursing care to students with special medical needs, including administering medications and monitoring vital signs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with parents, healthcare providers, and school personnel.
• Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and healthcare professionals regarding the student's health status and progress.
• Advocate for the student's health and educational needs within the school setting.
• Provide direct nursing care to students and staff in the health office for various health concerns.
• Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify health issues and provide appropriate interventions or referrals.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students.
• Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and parents to develop and implement health policies and procedures.
• Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics, including nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.
• Provide healthcare support during school bus transportation for students with special medical needs.

Requirements

• Active Nursing License in New Jersey (RN or LPN).
• Current CPR Certification.
