About the position
The School Psychologist position at Stellar Therapy Services involves working collaboratively within a school environment to support students' learning and teachers' instructional capabilities. The role focuses on providing mental health guidance, assisting students in overcoming academic and behavioral challenges, and conducting assessments as part of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team. This position offers flexibility in scheduling and is designed to empower professionals to make a significant impact in the lives of children.
Responsibilities
- Support students' ability to learn and teachers' ability to teach as a member of the school's team.
- Provide guidance in mental health, learning, and behavior.
- Assist students in succeeding academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally.
- Meet with parents and teachers to discuss learning, behavioral, familial, and social problems.
- Complete assessments and testing as part of the IEP team and make recommendations based on expertise.
Requirements
- Master's degree or Doctorate in School Psychology.
- Active KS-School Psychology Educational License (or ability to obtain).
- Active KS-Dept of Education License (or ability to obtain).
