About the position
The School Safety & Threat Assessment Program Manager is responsible for coordinating comprehensive school safety systems, including a student threat assessment system that utilizes a multi-agency and multi-disciplinary approach. This full-time position involves working closely with various stakeholders to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff within the Eugene School District 4J.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the ongoing functioning of comprehensive school safety systems.
- Oversee the student threat assessment system involving a multi-agency team.
- Engage with stakeholders, including families and communities, to promote wellness and self-sufficiency.
- Demonstrate complex problem-solving skills to evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including public and district personnel.
- Manage budgets and ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
- Assist other Office of School Safety personnel as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a job-related field with 2 years of applicable experience, or an Associate's degree with 5 years of increasing levels of job-related experience.
- Professional experience working in schools or community-based programs involving youth and community health prevention.
- Two years of experience supervising support staff.
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive a district vehicle.
Nice-to-haves
- Professional experience with behavioral health practices.
- Experience with community mobilization.
- Knowledge and/or professional experience working in a K-12 environment.
- Bilingual proficiency or multi-cultural experience.
