Responsibilities

  • Serve as a receptionist for school visitors and refer them to appropriate staff.
  • Distribute incoming mail and process various student and school administrative information.
  • Handle routine complaints and minor problems from parents and students.
  • Interview parents and students for enrollment information.
  • Contact parents regarding student absences or illnesses.
  • Administer first aid to ill students and maintain health records.
  • Assist with student enrollments, transfers, and withdrawals.
  • Collect and compile information for Principal's reports.
  • Issue books, office supplies, and maintain inventory.
  • Prepare daily pupil attendance reports and other related reports.
  • Receive and account for fees and other monies, prepare bank deposits, and financial reports.
  • Maintain student grade and permanent record files.
  • Process library book orders and issue tardy passes.
  • Train and supervise student assistants.
  • Order and oversee audiovisual materials check-out and check-in.
  • Arrange class field trips and compose letters, forms, and reports.

Benefits

  • Hourly rate between $19.71 and $38.90.
