About the position

Under the direction of the School Principal, a School Social Worker provides social services and interventions to students and their families within the District. These services include therapy, individual and group therapy, and participation as part of the multidisciplinary team of professionals working within the school setting and District.

Responsibilities

  • Provide social services and interventions to students and their families.
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Participate as part of the multidisciplinary team of professionals in the school setting.

Requirements

  • A valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Social Work.
  • A Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW).
  • A valid Clinical Social Work (LCSW) License is preferable.
  • CBEST Card and English Language Learners Authorization.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience in a position performing pupil personnel services in school social work and/or school-based mental health.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in school-based mental health services.
