About the position

The City School District of New Rochelle is looking for a dedicated School Social Worker to provide counseling and support to middle school students. This role involves working closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to foster a safe and healthy learning environment, while also adhering to educational regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual/group counseling for classified and non-classified middle school students
• Experience in crisis intervention
• Collaborate with educators, parents/guardians, and other professionals to create supportive learning environments
• Chair CSE and/or 504 meetings
• Participate in appropriate department and school-based meetings
• Perform any duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor
• Adhere to all applicable Federal and New York State Board of Education rules and regulations

Requirements

• NYS Certification required at the time of application
