About the position
The Life Science (Bio/Chem) Teacher/Mentor position at Fusion Academy is designed to provide a supportive and individualized teaching experience for students in grades 6-12. The role emphasizes a student-centered approach that fosters emotional security, critical thinking, and resourcefulness while addressing the unique academic and emotional needs of each student through differentiated instruction.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one teaching in Life Science subjects including Biology, Environmental Science, Anatomy & Physiology, Ecology, Marine Biology, and Forensic Science.
- Adapt and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of student progress.
- Develop and maintain positive communication with parents.
- Contribute to the campus community and participate in professional development.
- Mentor students in addition to subject matter tutoring.
Requirements
- Experience in teaching Life Science subjects at the middle and high school levels.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with students and parents.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
