Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.
- Motivate, engage, and challenge students using a wide variety of teaching strategies and differentiation tools.
- Conduct and utilize ongoing assessments of student achievement, using both formative and summative assessments.
- Utilize technology to create innovative lessons and improve pedagogical practices and student performance through data collection.
- Develop and implement the newly adopted New York State Science Standards (NYSSLS/NGSS) in writing lesson plans and authentic tasks.
- Effectively communicate with students, parents/guardians, and other school stakeholders to monitor student growth.
Requirements
- Must be NYS Certified
- Familiarity with the new science standards (NYSSLS/NGSS) required.
