About the position

The Scientific Partner (Core/POC) at Roche is a strategic leadership role focused on developing medical strategies for specific disease areas. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure fast access and improved outcomes for patients. The role emphasizes the importance of external insights, evidence generation, and educational initiatives to meet diverse healthcare needs. The Scientific Partner will also build partnerships with medical thought leaders and contribute to the broader Roche ecosystem, ensuring alignment with global medical objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the medical components of the local medical strategy for specific disease areas in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Leverage external stakeholder insights to inform medical strategy and execution plans.
  • Design advisory boards and other activities to gather external feedback.
  • Identify and prioritize local evidence gaps and design solutions to meet stakeholder needs.
  • Create educational tools and programs to address knowledge gaps for external stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic guidance for field partners and scientific liaisons based on external insights.
  • Translate scientific evidence into relevant insights for internal and external communications.
  • Build collaborations with external stakeholders and academic networks.
  • Act as a coach and mentor for colleagues to develop their skills and expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science with 7 years of relevant work experience, or a Master's degree with 5 years of experience, or a Doctorate with 3 years of experience.
  • Experience in strategic roles within healthcare or diagnostics.
  • Ability to work with business leaders, clinicians, and regulatory authorities.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations related to data dissemination and healthcare professional interactions.
  • Advanced skills in interpreting scientific data and developing quality publications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation and teaching abilities.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Roche Diagnostics products.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic laboratory techniques.
