Responsibilities
- Execute compound purification on milligram to gram scale using preparative HPLC.
- Collaborate with medicinal chemistry teams to develop methods and provide technical guidance.
- Maintain HPLC/LCMS instrumentation and troubleshoot instrument problems independently.
- Maintain a high level of productivity in the laboratory setting.
- Demonstrate responsibility in maintaining scientific standards and safe laboratory practices.
- Keep accurate and current records of research and project-related activities.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related discipline.
- Typically 5-7+ years of job-related experience with a BS or 2-5+ years with an MS.
- Hands-on experience with analytical HPLC, preparative HPLC, and mass spectrometry.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot a variety of analytical and preparative instrumentation hardware and software.
- Knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry and effective communication with medicinal chemistry teams.
