About the position

As a Scientist in Data Science at Janssen Research & Development, LLC, you will play a pivotal role in conceiving, developing, and implementing artificial intelligence solutions to address high-priority scientific problems across various disease areas. This position is part of the R&D Data Science Analytics & Insights team, where you will be responsible for developing machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions that accelerate and enable global development efforts. Your work will involve participating in cross-functional collaborations with both external companies and internal scientific and data science teams, leveraging data to drive scientific innovation. In this role, you will conduct site selection machine learning modeling to aid in clinical trial feasibility decision-making. This involves predicting sites with high potential to recruit patients for target trials in areas such as dermatology, oncology, and infectious diseases. You will also shape internal and external collaborations, defining the scope of research questions that need to be addressed. Additionally, you will contribute to patient modeling and enrollment simulations to provide accurate projections of enrollment completion. Your responsibilities will include implementing use-cases that adapt and deliver real-world data insights. You will closely partner with the Data Science Portfolio Management and Therapeutic Area teams to execute priorities, building a roadmap that guides projects from data feasibility to final presentation to senior cross-functional leaders. A key aspect of your role will be to clearly articulate highly technical methods and results to diverse audiences and partners, driving informed decision-making. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior team members in the application of appropriate methods for real-world data, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
