About the position

The Scientist II, Oncology position at Charles River Laboratories is designed for an experienced scientist to contribute to the Oncology team at the Worcester site. Responsibilities

• Design and plan oncology projects/protocols with occasional direction from senior staff.
• Mentor and train technicians in laboratory techniques and protocols.
• Document study data accurately and generate reports in a timely manner.
• Manage multiple concurrent tasks and prioritize work effectively.
• Follow company BOPs and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (B.S./B.A) in a scientific discipline; Master's degree (M.S./M.A.) or Ph.D. preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of laboratory experience in a pharmaceutical or contract laboratory environment.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Full understanding of regulatory requirements and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with analytical instrumentation software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
