About the position

As a Scientist III in the Biopharmaceutical Lab at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will play a crucial role in performing complex laboratory analyses of pharmaceutical products. This position involves leading multiple projects, interacting with clients, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will utilize advanced analytical instrumentation and contribute to the development and validation of analytical methods, ultimately impacting patient health through your scientific expertise.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex laboratory analysis of pharmaceutical products.
• Act as the project leader on multiple projects.
• Interact with clients and communicate project status to project leaders.
• Review and evaluate data, write reports and protocols.
• Perform analytical method development, optimization, and validation.
• Conduct a variety of complex sample preparation and analysis procedures.
• Set up and maintain analytical instrumentation.
• Train team members on routine operation and maintenance of analytical instrumentation.
• Ensure QA findings are addressed appropriately.
• Review, interpret, and analyze data for compliance with protocols and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant qualification with 5+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or a PhD.
• Experience with HPLC, CE, iCE, or ELISA preferred.
• Full understanding of laboratory requirements, PPD & client SOPs, ICH guidelines, GMP requirements, and FDA guidance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Proven technical writing skills.
• Time management and project management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to train junior staff.
