About the position

The position involves investigating, creating, and validating new scientific methodologies for the manufacturing and control of raw materials, production intermediates, and final products in the pharmaceutical industry. The role encompasses significant technical and scientific project activities aimed at implementing strategies and solutions that align with client expectations. The candidate will engage in process and equipment design for various production stages, including clinical and commercial batches.

Responsibilities

  • Develop feasible chemical processes to synthesize drug intermediates and APIs that meet or exceed quality requirements.
  • Collect reliable process data through designed laboratory experiments with accurate documentation.
  • Record and analyze scientific data and observations in detail.
  • Summarize and interpret process data to draw logical conclusions.
  • Write technical updates and reports.
  • Participate in technical discussions with internal teams and clients.
  • Prepare detailed process development reports to support manufacturing and regulatory requirements.
  • Draft and review Operating Instructions, Deviations, Change Controls, and Investigative documentation.
  • Implement Operating Instructions for laboratory scale production under SOP/cGMP guidelines.
  • Provide timely technical support for scale-up production and quality needs.
  • Research industry practices and apply innovative development for client products.
  • Lead projects with minimal direction and manage project timelines.

Requirements

  • PhD in Chemistry or related discipline; Master's degree with relevant experience considered.
  • Experience working in the Pharmaceutical Industry preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of chemistry and analytical instrumental technologies.
  • Good knowledge of quality and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry, including GMPs.
  • Problem-solving skills and a logical approach to scientific problems.
  • Proficiency with HPLC, GC, LC/MS, and Dissolution techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
