About the position

The Scientist Oncology position at Aragen is a temporary role focused on managing diverse oncology-related projects, particularly in in vivo studies. The successful candidate will supervise scientific staff, serve as a subject matter expert, and communicate effectively with clients and the sales team. This role requires strong project management skills and the ability to analyze and present data, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage diverse oncology projects and in vivo studies.
• Supervise scientific and technical staff.
• Serve as a scientific resource to other company scientists.
• Communicate with clients and the sales team as a subject matter expert.
• Write reports at the conclusion of projects for clients.
• Execute established oncology models and develop new models.
• Run gene, protein, or immune assays.
• Prepare and administer dosing compounds.
• Conduct various tissue sampling including blood and other tissues.
• Measure tumors and perform animal imaging.
• Develop new animal pharmacology models.
• Plan and schedule multiple projects and manage laboratory personnel.
• Keep track of data produced from experiments and relate data to clients.
• Troubleshoot experiments as needed and communicate results to clients.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field or equivalent experience in the industry.
• Experience in rodent in vivo pharmacology or cell biology and FACS analysis.
• Experience supervising staff.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and other data analysis software.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to analyze data and present results effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with flow cytometry is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with RNA/DNA, PCR, western blots, and tissue culture.
