About the position

As a Senior Principal Cyber Engineer at L3Harris, you will play a pivotal role in leading multiple teams focused on the development, integration, and testing of cyber software capabilities. This position encompasses a wide range of disciplines, including vulnerability research, embedded systems reverse engineering, computer network operations (CNO) and computer network exploitation (CNE) development, hardware emulation, system engineering, and data analytics. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying and resolving technical issues across various technologies such as Linux, Windows, virtualization, mobile, and embedded/IoT systems. You will provide technical guidance to the program and influence the requirements and design of cyber capabilities, ensuring that they meet the mission-critical needs of our customers. In this role, you will be expected to leverage your extensive experience in vulnerability research and reverse engineering, as well as your knowledge of AGILE software development processes. You will utilize tools such as IDA Pro and Ghidra for binary analysis and will be responsible for writing, testing, and debugging code in languages such as Assembly, C, C++, and Python. A solid understanding of telecommunications systems and network protocols will be essential, as will your familiarity with commercial and open-source forensic analysis tools. This position requires a strong commitment to on-site work, as it cannot be performed remotely. Your leadership skills will be vital in building effective relationships, energizing teams, and delivering results. You will foster collaboration with customers and stakeholders, and your exceptional communication skills will enable you to prepare and present concise reports and briefings. You will also be responsible for formalizing and developing requirements, plans, and procedures based on customer interactions and statements of work. This role is integral to the success of our cyber capabilities and will require a proactive approach to problem-solving throughout all phases of the system lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple teams in the development, integration, and testing of cyber software capabilities.
  • Identify and drive technical resolution to issues across a broad range of technologies.
  • Provide technical guidance to the program and influence requirements and design of cyber capabilities.
  • Utilize binary analysis tools such as IDA Pro and Ghidra for vulnerability research and reverse engineering.
  • Write, test, and debug code in Assembly, C, C++, and Python.
  • Understand and apply telecommunications systems concepts and signal processing fundamentals.
  • Analyze network protocols and cyberspace CONOPS.
  • Utilize commercial and open-source forensic analysis tools for embedded system analysis.
  • Build effective relationships and foster collaboration with customers and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present concise oral and written reports, briefings, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or related technical field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Vulnerability Research/Reverse Engineering or Cyber Software Development.
  • Experience with AGILE software development concepts and processes.
  • Proficiency in binary analysis tools such as IDA Pro or Ghidra.
  • Experience in writing, testing, and debugging Assembly, C, C++, and/or Python code.
  • Understanding of telecommunications systems concepts and signal processing fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP stacks, wire-level protocols, RF communications, BGP, routing protocols).
  • Experience with embedded system analysis.
  • Top Secret/SCI security clearance required.
