About the position

The Planning and Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning and inventory processes within the site/function. This role involves advancing subject matter expertise in planning and inventory management, coaching and mentoring team members, and ensuring successful execution of planning and inventory projects. The manager will facilitate collaboration between various departments to meet inventory goals and manage resources effectively to support the site/function strategy deployment plans.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the team to manage material shortages to ensure Clear to Builds in collaboration with the Purchasing and SLM Team.
  • Support the team as a liaison between customer project management and internal departments on new product requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate demand management processes are performed by the team.
  • Manage Excess, Surplus, and Obsolete inventory and drive actions to mitigate their impact.
  • Ensure accuracy of bills of material and collaborate on engineering changes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve Inventory Entitlement targets and drive results.
  • Lead the team to maintain continuous Material Supply to achieve targeted inventory levels and turns.
  • Monitor MPS accuracy, attainment, and level load metrics, driving necessary actions for improvement.
  • Validate Financial Impact Analysis (FIA) to mitigate inventory risk before loading MPS.
  • Work with departments to review and dispose of non-conforming materials.
  • Ensure production schedules meet customer requirements for high on-time delivery levels.
  • Manage RMA orders and collaborate with departments to meet repair commitments.
  • Monitor planning parameters ROP & SS to ensure optimized inventory levels.
  • Ensure proper execution of the SIOP Process, including accurate data and timely submissions.
  • Maintain responsibility for SCM Team training, performance management, and employee development.
  • Act as a liaison with customers to ensure forecast commitments are met.
  • Collaborate with departments to improve supply flex programs.
  • Submit Investment Inventories for non-required materials.
  • Follow global procedures and policies, driving practices aligned to them.
  • Collaborate with Global and Segment teams to drive Inventory Management Operating System.
  • Manage KRIs, Planning Metrics, and drive necessary actions for improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvements of SCM function through interactions with other departments.
  • Responsible for annual physical inventory and site surplus/excess sale process.

Requirements

  • Seven plus years of relevant experience in planning and inventory management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Materials Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Broad knowledge of electronic manufacturing environment, materials, and processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of global supply chain management and inventory management.
  • Good understanding of IT concepts and integrated business applications.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a variety of internal and external customers.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to lead and motivate a diverse group of employees.
  • Understanding of ERP System Logic and Rapid Response Kinaxis System.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge and basic statistical analysis knowledge applied to Supply Chain.
