About the position
The position at FICO involves serving as a trusted advisor and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for strategic clients in the mortgage and capital markets sectors. The role focuses on leveraging expertise in the mortgage industry to provide insights, support client relationships, and drive business growth through collaboration with internal analytics teams and external stakeholders. The individual will engage with high-level executives and contribute to the development and implementation of solutions that enhance the adoption of FICO® Scores in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor and SME for strategic clients and stakeholders in the mortgage and capital markets.
- Produce insights and grow the PnL of the Mortgage and Capital Markets team.
- Serve as the core liaison between teams, leveraging mortgage industry expertise and analytical skills.
- Provide high-quality support to enhance client and stakeholder relationships.
- Educate clients on FICO Scores products and collaborate with the investor community on securitizations.
- Communicate relevant information effectively to diverse audiences and recommend alternatives to partners and internal teams.
- Lead discussions and create solutions in client sessions, internal meetings, and industry events.
- Establish processes and best practices for cross-functional collaboration.
- Support execution of industry strategy and targets for strategic clients.
- Develop analytics and data needs to advance the industry forward.
- Perform competitive analysis to assist in business case development and executive presentations.
- Assist Sales in resolving contractual discrepancies by partnering with Product and Legal teams.
- Confirm strategic needs and impacts during solution development assignments.
- Review client deliverables to ensure content strategy is implemented accurately and is easily digestible.
- Own and manage internal reporting and analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Substantial and relevant industry experience in mortgage financial services.
- FICO product knowledge is a plus.
- Experience writing credit guides as an investor or creating products for investors.
- Experience partnering with the mortgage industry using a consultative approach at the CXO level.
- Knowledge in strategic banking client business management and core risk management.
- Ability to effectively listen to clients and understand their business needs.
- Excellent customer service, organizational, and follow-up skills.
- Attention to detail with sound reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a global, highly matrixed business environment.
