Requirements

• Ability to successfully pass crane operator and mobile equipment licensing requirements.
• Must have a positive recommendation from Supervisor and/or Manager.
• Willingness to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime and rotating shifts.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a production environment.
• Participation in a Safety Team.
• Knowledge of Scrap/Melting Process.
• Scrap Crane/Cab Crane Experience.
• Experience using Excel.

Responsibilities

• Work with knowledge of safe practices and procedures in a fast-paced environment with continually moving heavy equipment and overhead cranes.
• Utilize proper PPE and maintain clear and concise radio communications.
• Access required documentation such as scrap specifications, policies, and procedures using computer systems.
• Understand and apply scrap specifications and environmental policies.
• Implement inventory control practices and use Scrap Connect computer systems for scrap receiving and inspection.
• Receive material, record images, and generate emails via tablet.
• Undergo training for scrap identification by grade, nonconforming materials, and potentially dangerous items.
