About the position

The Screening Solutions Specialist (SSS) at Exact Sciences plays a crucial role in the fight against cancer by driving the growth of Cologuard in medical practices. This field-based position focuses on enhancing customer relationships, improving clinical decision-making, and delivering better patient outcomes through the integration of Exact Sciences' solutions. The SSS is responsible for generating insights into local healthcare ecosystems, developing business plans, and educating healthcare professionals about the importance of colorectal cancer screening.

Responsibilities

  • Generate deep insight into local healthcare ecosystems and market landscape to identify opportunities for enhancing the system of care.
  • Analyze the treatment journey across the local system of care to identify account opportunities and improve clinical decision-making.
  • Build a network of relationships within accounts to gain insight into unmet needs and capture customer interaction data using CRM.
  • Synthesize data from various sources to understand the local care system and make data-driven decisions on account potential.
  • Develop and implement business and account plans to increase visibility and awareness of the Company's products.
  • Create business plans to drive acceptance of Cologuard and enhance clinical decision-making.
  • Lead the implementation of customer-specific engagement approaches in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Inform and educate target physician and stakeholder groups about Exact Sciences products and their value propositions.
  • Proactively drive business growth by focusing on high-potential customers and uncovering unmet needs.
  • Seek regular feedback from customers about their experience and perceived value of working with Exact Sciences.
  • Lead the successful implementation of account plans through collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate customer needs and opportunities to internal stakeholders to mobilize resources and shape solutions.
  • Ensure business is conducted to the highest ethical and professional standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing, Science, or related field, or 4 years relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • 2+ years of previous sales, inside sales, or account management experience, or 1+ years of sales experience plus 1+ years in a healthcare setting.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with no significant violations in the last 36 months.
  • Ability to meet healthcare facility requirements for access, such as vaccination and mask requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years of experience in sales of medical devices or diagnostics.
  • Experience working with primary care physicians as targeted customers.
  • Background in commissioned, tangible product sales.
  • Expertise in computer technology specific to sales.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and CRM tools.
