About the position

The Screening Solutions Specialist (SSS) at Exact Sciences is a front-line role focused on driving product growth of Cologuard in medical practices. The SSS will work to meet sales goals within the assigned geography, enhance customer relationships, and improve patient outcomes through the integration of Exact Sciences' solutions. This position is field-based and requires a strong understanding of local healthcare ecosystems to identify opportunities for growth and to deliver diagnostic solutions for colorectal cancer screening.

Responsibilities

  • Generate deep insight into local healthcare ecosystems and market landscape to identify opportunities for enhancing the system of care.
  • Analyze the treatment journey across the local system of care to identify account opportunities and improve clinical decision making.
  • Build a network of relationships within accounts to gain insight into customer and patient unmet needs, capturing information on customer interactions using CRM.
  • Synthesize data from various sources to understand the evolving local care system and make data-driven decisions on account potential.
  • Develop and implement business and account plans to increase visibility and awareness of the Company's products.
  • Create business and account plans to drive acceptance of Cologuard and enhance clinical decision making.
  • Lead the implementation of business and customer plans to address customer needs in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Inform and educate target physician and stakeholder groups about Exact Sciences products and value propositions.
  • Proactively drive business growth by focusing on customers with the highest potential and uncovering unmet needs.
  • Seek regular feedback from customers about their experience and perceived value of working with Exact Sciences.
  • Lead the successful implementation of account plans through collaboration with internal stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction and improve patient outcomes.
  • Ensure execution of targeted tactics to deliver business goals in coordination with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Communicate customer needs and opportunities to internal stakeholders to mobilize resources and shape solutions.
  • Conduct business to the highest ethical and professional standards, consistent with Exact Sciences guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing, Science, or related field, or 4 years relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • 2+ years of previous sales, inside sales, or account management experience, or 1+ years of sales experience plus 1+ years in a healthcare setting.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with no significant violations in the last 36 months.
  • Ability to meet any requirements set by healthcare facilities for access.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years of experience in sales of medical devices or diagnostics.
  • Experience working with primary care physicians as targeted customers.
  • Background in commissioned, tangible product sales.
  • Expertise in computer technology specific to sales.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and CRM tools.
