About the position
The Medical Scribe position at CityMD is designed to support physicians by managing clerical tasks, allowing them to focus on patient care. This role involves documenting patient visits in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), obtaining medical histories, facilitating diagnostic tests, and providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Document patient visits in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Obtain and maintain patient medical histories.
- Facilitate necessary diagnostic tests and referrals to specialists.
- Assist physicians with basic patient care and medical procedures.
- Communicate with patients, pharmacies, and physicians under physician guidance.
- Maintain a clean and professional working environment.
- Train and acclimate new hire scribes.
Requirements
- High School Degree or GED.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire.
- Computer and typing skills with a minimum of 45 wpm.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
- Flexible with full-time work schedule including weekends.
Nice-to-haves
- Bilingual language skills preferred based on site location.
- Experience in any service industry.
