About the position

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Scrum Leader for the Center for Digital Health, focusing on Workforce and Customer/Patient Experiences within the Data & Analytics (D&A) Infrastructure and AI products portfolio. This role is pivotal in providing agile support and facilitating ceremonies for various data integration development teams, including VOC/CCaaS, Workforce Management, Intelligent Search Capabilities, Curated Views, Care Team, and Patient Portal. The Scrum Leader will be responsible for extending agile expertise to deliver digital solutions and products that enhance the health journey of consumers, patients, and providers. In this position, the Scrum Leader will facilitate workflows in a scrum environment, ensuring that team members adhere to their respective duties and responsibilities. The role involves guiding and coaching the Scrum Team on Agile practices and principles to deliver high-quality products and services. The Scrum Leader will work collaboratively with Product Managers, Product Owners, Engineering, and Experience Design partners to ensure successful delivery of projects. This includes coaching the team in self-organization, cross-functional skillsets, and effective communication, both internally and externally. The Scrum Leader will also be responsible for resolving team impediments, influencing decision-making, and supporting product teams. They will contribute to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization and facilitate all scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective. This role requires a strong understanding of Scrum and the software development life cycle, along with outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide agile support and facilitation of ceremonies for data integration development teams.
  • Facilitate workflows in a scrum environment, ensuring team members follow through on their duties.
  • Guide and coach the Scrum Team on Agile practices and principles.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, Engineering, and Experience Design partners for successful delivery.
  • Ensure Scrum is understood and adhered to by the team.
  • Coach the Scrum team in self-organization and effective communication.
  • Resolve team impediments with other Scrum Leaders to enhance Scrum application effectiveness.
  • Work with Agile coaches and other Scrum Leaders for personal and team growth.
  • Contribute to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization.
  • Facilitate and support all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or high school diploma with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Exemplifies and promotes Agile values and principles.
  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum and understanding of the software development life cycle.
  • Adept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques.
  • Planning and problem-solving skills with product management and delivery teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, networking, collaboration skills, and cultural awareness.
  • Experience navigating transformation in highly regulated industries is a plus.
