About the position

The Scrum Master/BSA position at Luxoft in Irvine, CA, is a pivotal role aimed at integrating two trade order management systems into the client's strategic data hub. This project encompasses a comprehensive range of responsibilities, from requirements gathering to design, execution, and testing. The technology stack primarily includes .NET, Java/Unix, XML, SQL, Weblogic, Sybase, and Oracle, making it essential for candidates to have a solid understanding of these technologies. The Scrum Master will be responsible for managing and optimizing the flow of value through the Agile Release Train, ensuring that all aspects of delivery are executed efficiently and effectively. In this role, the Scrum Master will assist in tracking the capabilities and execution of features, providing guidance for economical decision-making, and coaching leaders, scrum masters, and teams in Lean-Agile mindsets and practices. The position requires a proactive approach to managing dependencies and risks, as well as escalating and tracking impediments that may hinder progress. Collaboration with Product Owners, Product & Solution Management, and stakeholders is crucial to ensure that strategy and execution align seamlessly. Additionally, the Scrum Master will focus on improving the flow of value through value streams by assessing and enhancing practices related to DevOps. Candidates must possess substantial tactical experience leading multiple scrum teams simultaneously, demonstrating the ability to collaboratively lead teams in optimizing delivery. Full accountability for all Scrum Master duties is expected, including effectively leading all ceremonies, analyzing and removing roadblocks, and utilizing tools such as Jira and Confluence to optimize delivery. The role also demands the ability to work in ambiguous environments, driving for clarity to enable confident delivery by the team. Excellent soft skills, flexibility in team dynamics, and a well-developed understanding of requirements gathering mechanics are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Managing and optimising flow of value through the Agile Release Train
• Assistance in tracking the capabilities and execution of features
• Guidance to the economical decision making
• Coaching leaders, scrum masters and teams in Lean-Agile mindsets and practices
• Helping in managing dependencies and risks
• Escalating and tracking impediments

Requirements

• Substantial tactical experience leading two or more scrum teams simultaneously
• Ability to collaboratively lead team(s) in optimizing delivery from a point of knowledge and understanding of the product/capabilities the team is delivering
• Full accountability/ownership for all Scrum Master duties
• Effectively/efficiently leading all ceremonies
• Analyzing, understanding and removing roadblocks based on contextual understanding of the issue
• Effectively using and taking full accountability for tools to optimize delivery (i.e. Jira, Confluence, Program Boards)
• Working with the PO, team members, and leadership to understand and utilize team and industry best practices
• Ability to work in an ambiguous environment and drive for clarity
• Excellent soft skills (i.e. Communication, issue resolution, team building)
• Flexibility in team dynamics and the ability to assess specific team dynamics
