About the position

Koniag Management Services, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced Scrum Master / Business Analyst with a Secret Clearance to support KMS and our government customer. This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while still engaging with a dedicated team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in planning, managing, and coordinating the implementation of ServiceNow Agile projects, ensuring that customer information system requirements are met effectively. As the Scrum Master and Business Analyst for a ServiceNow application development scrum team, you will support the Department of State and help manage and prioritize the backlog based on customer input. Your responsibilities will include developing and coordinating project progress, monitoring the creation and status of all related project artifacts, and ensuring that appropriate system testing strategies are executed by the team. You will also be responsible for identifying requirements from various stakeholders and developing IT policies, procedures, and strategies that govern the planning and delivery of IT services. In this role, you will act as a liaison between the customer and the project team, facilitating communication throughout the project lifecycle. Establishing and maintaining a strong business relationship between the customer and developers, process specialists, and other subject matter experts will be key to your success. You will work closely with customers to identify their needs and ensure that the project team can adapt to changing business requirements. Additionally, you will represent the project team and product offerings to customers through coordinated briefings and demonstrations, ensuring that the team's responses to customer requirements are appropriate. This position requires collaboration as part of a multi-contractor team on client engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and coordinate the implementation of ServiceNow Agile projects and identify customer's information system requirements.
  • Act as the Scrum Master and Business Analyst for a ServiceNow application development scrum team supporting the Department of State.
  • Help manage and prioritize the backlog based on customer input.
  • Develop and coordinate the project progress and monitor the creation and status of all related project artifacts.
  • Develop appropriate system testing strategies, plans or scenarios, and ensure these are executed by the team.
  • Identify requirements from a variety of stakeholders.
  • Develop and interpret IT policies, procedures and strategies governing the planning and delivery of IT services.
  • Advise other specialists on technical issues, diagnostic methods, and potential solutions to programs.
  • Act as the liaison between the customer and the project team and facilitate communication throughout the project.
  • Establish and maintain a business relationship between the customer and developers, process specialists, and other subject matter experts.
  • Work with customers to identify their needs and ensure the project team can meet these needs as business needs change over time.
  • Represent the project team and product offerings to customers through coordinated briefings and demonstrations.
  • Work with the project team to ensure that the team's response to customer's requirements is appropriate.
  • Work as part of a multi-contractor team on client engagements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent related field experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Written and Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.
  • Demonstrated accomplishment of ServiceNow assignments that required knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, multiple modules, and development of scoped applications.
  • Demonstrated competency in leading Agile Scrum teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze several alternative approaches in advising management and customers concerning aspects of system design and technical solutions.
  • Proficient knowledge in Information Technologies including enterprise architecture, software development, data and telecommunications, security best practices, cloud computing, and Operations and Maintenance processes.
  • Strong skills in leadership and teambuilding, decision making, reasoning, and problem solving.
  • Strong communication (written and oral), presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Active Secret clearance.
