About the position

In the role of Scrum Master / Team Coach, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating our agile delivery. Your primary responsibilities will include leading and facilitating agile ceremonies such as iteration planning, PI Planning events, team syncs, iteration reviews, and retrospectives. You will focus on advancing team capabilities, enhancing the agile team's ability to deliver value to their customers and our organization. As a coach and mentor, you will guide team members on agile principles, best practices, and continuous improvement. Your role will also involve removing impediments to foster a collaborative, high-performing environment by addressing and resolving obstacles. Additionally, you will help the team measure and improve flow by identifying opportunities to better measure and improve workflow. Driving agile adoption will be a key aspect of your responsibilities, promoting the adoption of agile methodologies within the agile teams and the Agile Release Train (ART) you serve. Core competencies required for this role include servant leadership, where you will lead and empower others through your leadership style. You should possess strong coaching and development skills, with experience in coaching and developing individuals and teams. Effective facilitation skills are essential to guide productive meetings and discussions. A deep understanding of agile frameworks, principles, and practices is crucial, along with a growth mindset that demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Familiarity with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is considered a plus, enhancing your ability to contribute to the organization’s agile transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate agile ceremonies including iteration planning, PI Planning events, team syncs, iteration reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Advance team capabilities to enhance the agile team's ability to deliver value to customers and the organization.
  • Coach and mentor team members on agile principles, best practices, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT project management.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master within IT.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, Jira).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple agile teams.
  • Preferred certifications include Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Experience in coaching and developing individuals and teams.
