About the position

The Scrum Master at Broadridge will lead teams in utilizing the Scrum framework to deliver high-impact projects within the technology product development sector. This role involves mentoring teams, facilitating Agile processes, and ensuring successful project delivery while removing impediments. The position is hybrid, allowing for both in-office and remote work, and requires collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance team performance and project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Directs Associate level Scrum Masters and leads the establishment of best practices for Agile and Scrum.
  • Mentors the project Scrum team to exemplify Agile and Scrum values and principles.
  • Acts as a Servant-Leader and Coach to the Scrum team, ensuring adherence to defined processes and practices.
  • Facilitates Agile processes including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint demos, retrospectives, and release planning.
  • Ensures successful completion of assigned projects through effective facilitation and leadership.
  • Facilitates the removal of team-level impediments and escalates non-team level blockers.
  • Manages release plans, iteration plans, forecasting, and status reporting for designated projects.
  • Ensures timely and complete documentation of user stories, acceptance criteria, and related materials.
  • Supports risk and issue identification and mitigation activities with the agile team.
  • Encourages collaboration and seeks opportunities to improve teamwork between distributed teams.
  • Facilitates periodic reviews and retrospectives, tracking report status through standardized dashboards.
  • Improves transparency and visibility across the organization regarding project goals and progress.
  • Builds a safe and trusting environment for effective conflict management.
  • Shields the team from external interruptions that may derail progress.
  • Ensures transparency around project goals and progress within and outside the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2-5 years of Scrum Master experience with a Software Development team.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in the financial services or technology industry.
  • 5+ years experience managing multiple complex projects successfully.
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile techniques such as Automated Testing, User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, etc.
  • Scrum Alliance CSM certification required; CSP certification or PMI's Agile Certified Professional (ACP) preferred.
