About the position

The Scrum Master will play a pivotal role in guiding the team through the Lean-Agile mindset, ensuring adherence to SAFe principles and practices. This position focuses on facilitating team progress, eliminating impediments, and fostering continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and delivery of solutions. The Scrum Master will collaborate closely with the Product Owner and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and support the team in achieving their goals.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit behaviors of a Lean-Agile Leader and help the team embrace SAFe core values.
• Support the team rules of Scrum, eliminate impediments, and lead efforts for relentless improvement.
• Ensure the technology and service delivery roadmap aligns with the solution strategy.
• Facilitate progress toward team goals using current Program Increment (PI) Objectives as Iteration Goals.
• Ensure team members understand goals, scope, and product backlog items.
• Collaborate with Product Owner, customers, and developers to clarify business/systems requirements.
• Support continuous improvement in communications and relationships with other delivery teams.
• Represent the team in the Scrum of Scrums (SoS) to enhance engagement and program effectiveness.
• Challenge old norms of development to improve quality, predictability, flow, and velocity.
• Support software development teams in applying the Scrum framework.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Functional and technical expertise in at least 1 analytics or business intelligence application or product.
• Significant project management experience with strong fundamentals in advanced analytics, data integration, and visualization.
• Working knowledge of Cloud Applications (e.g., Azure, DataBricks).
• Proficient in software development and system administration.
• Significant experience in resource allocation and management.
• Experience leading, guiding, and coaching professional staff.
• Experience leading agile development teams and facilitating team meetings in an Agile environment.
• Advanced knowledge of development or operations framework methodologies, including Agile principles.

Nice-to-haves

• In-depth knowledge and experience in Banking/Finance/Investments, familiar with terminology, concepts, and business processes and systems.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
• CSM and PMI-ACP certification.
• Advanced degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
