About the position

Our telecommunications client is seeking a Scrum Master to join their team! In this role, you will serve the team and product owner in turning requirements into working software while tracking progress and helping the team achieve their commitments. Progress is monitored daily, and when problems are identified, you will work with the team to develop corrective actions and manage and report the status of scope, schedule, resourcing, and financials. You will also be responsible for extracting and documenting requirements, authoring user stories and acceptance criteria, and ensuring that team members understand processes and support the team in following them. Additionally, you will ensure that product quality expectations are defined and known across the team, collaborate with the team in scheduling work (including defect remediation and refactoring), and guard against the accumulation of technical debt. You will work with the technical team and product owner to balance the interests of both when issues arise.

Responsibilities

  • Serve the team and product owner in turning requirements into working software.
  • Track progress and help the team achieve their commitments.
  • Monitor progress daily and work with the team to develop corrective actions when problems are identified.
  • Manage and report the status of scope, schedule, resourcing, and financials.

Requirements

  • Experience in Project Management and/or serving as Scrum Master.
  • Management of more than one significant project at a time.
  • Prior experience as a Business Analyst and/or Tester is helpful, but not required.
  • Practical use of quality management tools and techniques.
  • Optional Certification: Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM). 2-5 years of experience.
