As a Scrum Master II at Marriott, you will play a pivotal role in managing the development sprints from planning through execution and review within an agile development environment. Your primary responsibility will be to run daily scrums, collaborate on requirement documentation, and remove any barriers that may impede the team's progress. You will coach and collaborate with cross-functional teams, Product Owners, and other Scrum Masters to foster decision-making and continuous improvement. This position specifically supports Salesforce Engineering and requires strong leadership abilities to guide the development of agile capabilities within the Global Technology organization and across Marriott's extensive portfolio of products. In this role, you will support one or more software delivery teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies. You will facilitate all scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Refinement, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective, ensuring that Scrum is understood and adhered to by the team. You will also contribute to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization, working closely with Agile coaches and other Scrum Masters to grow in your role. As a servant leader of the Agile Team, you will direct the initiative delivery team and partner with Product Managers to maintain plans and communicate the team's progress, including product roadmaps and scrum team metrics. Your coaching responsibilities will involve guiding the Scrum Team on Lean and Agile practices to deliver high-quality products and services. You will resolve team impediments and work with product owners to manage backlogs and new requests. Additionally, you will optimize team performance by recognizing areas of strength and improvement, employing appropriate coaching techniques, and supporting the development of behavioral change management and training as needed. Your ability to collaborate with key stakeholders will be crucial in validating the effectiveness of standard processes and continuously improving process quality.
