About the position

Professional level role with knowledge and experience as a Scrum Master/Agile Team Coach. Typically, at this level they work with two or more teams at a time, under broad supervision and little instruction. Delivery focused team leader. As Servant-Leader they Serves to facilitate Agile teams to be self-managed and self-organized by ensuring the Truist Agile Framework, Agile Principles and Best Practices are followed. They are committed to the Agile Principles, methodology, and best practices-and are flexible and open to opportunities for teams to improve their workflow and maturity.

Responsibilities

  • Promote Agile principles to ensure that Agile Team deliverables are met.
  • Facilitate Agile Release Train and Agile Team Ceremonies/Events.
  • Navigate the organization to remove impediments on behalf of the team.
  • Coach and mentor teams in Agile best practices.
  • Responsible for ensuring Truist Agile Framework and methodologies are appropriately followed with the Agile Release Train and teams.
  • Troubleshoot, solve, or consult on, problems and recommend appropriate action.
  • May take on several components of an initiative or a complex component of an initiative.
  • Assess Agile Release Train and Team performance and maturity including creation of metric dashboards.
  • Clear and transparent communication is crucial to ensure all team members and stakeholders understand the status, goals, and obstacles of the Team(s).

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree and 5+ years' professional experience, for example: at least two+ years in a delivery role (developer, tester, architect, BA, business owner, etc.)
  • Prior experience in a Scrum Master role.
  • Two+ years of experience working on or with Agile teams.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, management and product owners/managers.

Nice-to-haves

  • College Degree in Computer Science, Math or related field of study.
  • SAFe Scrum Master Certification or Certified Scrum Manager or other industry recognized Scrum Master certification.
  • Experience in Rally.
  • Technical background can be beneficial to better understand the technical challenges faced by the team.
