About the position
The Scrum Master II position at Truist is a professional-level role focused on leading Agile teams to deliver value efficiently. The Scrum Master will work with multiple mature teams, facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing impediments, and ensuring adherence to Truist's Agile best practices. This office-centric role requires strong communication skills and the ability to navigate organizational challenges to support team success.
Responsibilities
- Leverage knowledge of Agile and Scrum principles to ensure that Scrum Team deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Facilitate team ceremonies.
- Navigate the organization to remove impediments on behalf of the team.
- Ensure Agile tools are up to date.
- Responsible for ensuring Truist Agile SDLC is appropriately followed.
- Troubleshoot, solve, or consult on problems and recommend appropriate action.
- May take on several components of an initiative or a complex component of an initiative.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree and 5+ years' professional experience, including at least two years in a delivery role (developer, tester, architect, BA, business owner, etc.).
- Prior experience in a Scrum Master role.
- Two+ years of experience working on or with Agile teams.
- Effective communication with team members, management, and product owners/managers.
Nice-to-haves
- College Degree in Computer Science, Math or related field of study.
- SAFe Scrum Master Certification or Certified Scrum Manager or other industry recognized Scrum Master certification.
