About the position

The Scrum Master II at Panasonic Avionics Corporation is responsible for facilitating Agile teams in the development of technology solutions for inflight entertainment. This role involves managing stakeholder expectations, delivering complex programs, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Scrum Master will lead Scrum ceremonies, coach teams on best practices, and report on project metrics to ensure successful delivery of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate collaborative teams in iterative technology development, managing stakeholder expectations regarding scope, schedule, and delivery.
  • Deliver multiple end-to-end large-scale and complex programs, products, and/or features.
  • Work effectively with Scrum teams to remove impediments that hinder project progress.
  • Facilitate recurring Scrum/Kanban ceremonies including planning, demos, iteration meetings, and retrospectives.
  • Monitor the progress of the sprint to enable teams to stay aligned with sprint goals.
  • Facilitate teams to estimate iteration deliverables for transparency and predictability.
  • Collaborate with development teams and product owners to manage sprint and Kanban backlogs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through retrospection, experimentation, and measurement.
  • Report team velocity, On Time Delivery, and software development metrics to stakeholders.
  • Lead team meetings and coach teams on best Scrum practices.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development or project management in an agile environment.
  • Proficient knowledge of Scrum, Agile values & principles, techniques, practices, and reporting.
  • Ability to run agile projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Experience leading, planning, executing, and evaluating delivery activities.
  • Experience working collaboratively across global teams and functions.
  • Experience using team collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Effective communication skills in both oral and written form to various stakeholders.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and creative in stakeholder engagement.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)/Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge in enterprise agile scaling frameworks such as SAFe or LeSS.
