About the position

Eaton's Information Technology division is currently seeking a Scrum Master - Information Security to join our team. This position can be based at our facility in one of these locations: Beachwood, Ohio; Moon TWP, PA; Galesburg, MI; Raleigh, NC; Menomonee Fall, WI; Houston, TX. The expected annual salary range for this role is $116,250 - $180,000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. As a Scrum Master, you'll be at the heart of our Agile success, guiding teams through scrum ceremonies, coaching on Agile principles, and overcoming challenges. Your mission? To ensure our development teams embrace scrum values and agile practices, driving continuous improvement and empowerment. In this full-time position, you'll collaborate with technical specialists from Information Security, Information Technology, and beyond to deliver on cybersecurity initiatives. By championing empirical process control - transparency, inspection, and adaptation - you'll pave the way for a culture of respect, focus, courage, openness, and commitment across teams and stakeholders. Your role will be pivotal in supporting our organization and product management to reach new heights through empirical process control. You will coach the team by helping define and communicate product goals and backlog priorities, fostering an environment where work can turn to value during a sprint, and resolving impediments to ensure the team's progress. You will also help the team focus on creating high-value increments that meet the definition of done, ensuring that all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox. Additionally, you will facilitate the Product Owner by helping find techniques for defining the product goal and managing the product backlog, as well as refining user stories. You will lead, train, and coach the organization in its Agile adoption, establishing Agile processes adopted in the Value Chain and working with other organization leaders to create an environment that increases productivity, product value, and quality by facilitating the removal of impediments. Your responsibilities will also include documenting, communicating, and training new processes, establishing, tracking, and reporting Value Chain metrics, and managing purchases and assisting the Value Streams with supply chain management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience working on an Agile team or leading technology projects.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
  • Strong understanding of product management and modern product delivery processes.
  • Deep experience working with Agile, including Scrum or Kanban, and how to practice Agile at scale.
  • Expertise with Agile software tools and producing Agile artifacts.
  • Able to coach multiple teams.
  • Management skills, with a servant leadership management style.
  • Strong training, mentoring, and coaching skills.
  • Strong facilitation skills to open hard conversations, guide thorough inspection, and explore options to change.
  • Demonstrate skills by having been in a Scrum Master role.
  • SME on MS Project, Risk Management, Scope Management, and Project Management methodologies.
  • Basic to Intermediate technical knowledge and solid understanding of computer hardware and software, data management, application programming, data communications, operating systems, utilities, and data security.
