About the position

Peraton is seeking a Scrum Master to support a team of developers in building advanced customer engagement systems for federal service agencies. The Scrum Master will act as a servant leader, guiding the team in Agile practices and ensuring effective collaboration and delivery of project goals.

Responsibilities

• Act as a servant leader to the Scrum Team by embracing SAFe Core Values and implementing SAFe practices.
• Help the scrum team achieve quality, predictability, flow, and velocity, focusing on daily and Sprint Goals in the context of current PI Objectives.
• Facilitate all team meetings, including daily stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Team Demos, and Retrospectives, and represent the team in Scrum of Scrums meetings.
• Collaborate with other impacted teams to ensure alignment between priorities, scope, and deployment-related activities.
• Assist the team in preparation for ART activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master with a BS/BA; 3 years with a MS/MA; 1 year with a PhD.
• 5+ years of experience utilizing SAFe methodologies or similar Agile servant leadership role.
• 2+ years of experience facilitating communication and collaboration with clients and development teams in both in-person and virtual settings.
• U.S. Citizenship required; must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• SAFe Certified Scrum Master.
• Prior experience in software development, preferably in a Java/open-source technical environment.
