About the position

The Scrum Master will play a pivotal role in leading Agile practices within the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) at the Department of Defense (DoD). This position focuses on enhancing decision-making through innovative AI-driven solutions, contributing to projects that improve information access and insight extraction. The Scrum Master will facilitate communication among cross-organizational teams, manage project timelines, and ensure the successful delivery of features that support national security objectives.

Responsibilities

• Review documentation provided by other teams and vendors, documenting requirements and specifications.
• Engage with mission teams to identify and evaluate prospective projects within the DoD.
• Synthesize requirements underlying feature requests and recommend alternative technical and business approaches.
• Facilitate engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of professional experience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Agile Tools, Development & Methodologies.
• 5-7 years of experience analyzing feature requests to identify underlying requirements and breaking them down into user stories.
• Demonstrated experience tracking and reporting team utilization and velocity.
• Strong communication skills among cross-organizational colleagues.
• Direct experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems or software architecture.
• Active Top Secret Clearance/SCI eligibility.
