About the position

The Scrum Master role is focused on supporting a development team in modernizing and enhancing efficiency in critical projects, particularly within the Naval cyberspace operations. The Scrum Master will apply Agile best practices to coach the team, ensuring successful project progression and the accomplishment of Program Increment Objectives. This position offers an opportunity to grow experience in Agile project management while contributing to impactful solutions for Navy and USMC clients.

Responsibilities

• Coach a development team to focus on sprint goals and ensure project progression.
• Implement sustainable process improvements to help the team accomplish Program Increment Objectives and Features.
• Facilitate Scrum duties including backlog grooming, sprint planning, standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support the Product Owner in maintaining and executing against product backlogs, managing complex interdependencies.
• Work alongside clients to deliver impactful solutions in a Naval environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Department of Defense (DoD) engineering and science management, operations research analysis, or financial and cost analysis.
• Experience as an Agile project manager serving multiple teams and adjusting to shifting priorities.
• Experience performing Scrum duties such as backlog grooming and sprint planning.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications including Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to facilitate and coach a dispersed, cross-functional team in a virtual environment.
• Knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Kanban, or Lean-Agile processes and methodologies.
• Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) Certification or Agile Certification required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Agile project management tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Ability to guide and motivate an agile team and manage conflicts.
• Excellent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.

• Top Secret clearance.
• Master's degree.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
