About the position

As a Scrum Master at Booz Allen, you will play a crucial role in supporting a development team focused on modernizing and enhancing efficiency in critical projects, particularly within the Naval cyberspace operations. Your expertise in Agile best practices will be essential in overcoming challenges and ensuring the successful progression of projects. This position offers an opportunity to grow your experience in Agile project management while contributing to impactful solutions for the Navy and USMC clients.

Responsibilities

• Coach a development team to focus on sprint goals and ensure project progression.
• Apply basic scrum principles to resolve routine problems.
• Implement sustainable process improvements to achieve Program Increment Objectives and Features.
• Support the Naval environment by delivering impactful solutions alongside clients.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Department of Defense (DoD) engineering and science management, operations research analysis, or financial and cost analysis.
• Experience as an Agile project manager serving multiple teams and adjusting to shifting priorities.
• Experience performing Scrum duties, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, or program increment (PI) planning.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to facilitate and coach a dispersed, cross-functional team in a virtual environment.
• Ability to support the Product Owner with maintaining and executing against product backlogs, including complex interdependencies of product delivery.
• Knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Kanban, or Lean-Agile processes and methodologies, including their application to process improvement.
• Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree.
• SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) Certification or Agile Certification.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Agile project management tools, such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Ability to guide and motivate an agile team, facilitate productive meetings, and manage conflicts.
