About the position

Genesis10 is seeking an Agile Scrum Master for a contract position in the financial industry. The role involves coordinating Scrum ceremonies, managing project delivery, and acting as a servant leader to enhance team performance and continuous improvement. The Scrum Master will work closely with business partners to understand needs and drive technology projects in the Capital Markets space.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, managing dependencies for the team.
• Provide visibility into team delivery plans and progress, enabling continuous improvement within the team.
• Responsible for delivery management and oversight support for key projects within the GFIIT portfolio.
• Act as a servant leader to your teams and help resolve impediments.
• Coach the team to achieve goals and timelines, driving adherence to the 'Definition of Ready' and 'Definition of Done'.
• Schedule, facilitate, and coach agile routines and ceremonies including Sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and PI planning.
• Enable the team to be high performing through collaboration and a relentless focus on continuous improvement, including working with other scrum teams to define best practices.
• Drive the agile team maturity.
• Delivery management for key GFIIT deliverables.

Requirements

• Business analyst experience helping to drive the understanding of business needs and analyze the best solutions by building close relationships with business partners.
• Drive to understand the Treasury space and the application supported.
• Prior Capital Markets experience in driving technology projects.
• Capital Markets product knowledge in Fixed Income or Derivatives.

Nice-to-haves

• Scrum master/PMP certified
• Quartz experience or Trading applications experience
• Python or SQL scripting
