About the position

The Scrum Master (Portfolio Support) is responsible for the direct management and accountability of project scope, schedule, delivery quality, resource allocation, and budget requirements for assigned projects within the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. This role involves leading various projects from initial proofs of concept to enhancements of critical systems, ensuring compliance with the Technology Delivery Lifecycle (TDLC) governance model. The Scrum Master will manage large enterprise-wide projects characterized by high risk and complexity, utilizing Agile and Waterfall methodologies to achieve business and technical objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage budget and complex, cross-technology application projects for the Security (IAM) portfolio.
  • Manage project risks and develop mitigation or contingency plans.
  • Identify program impediments and address them with urgency and escalation.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings to foster teamwork and drive issue resolution.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure alignment with goals, schedules, and budget.
  • Follow approved TDLC and project management methodologies, ensuring all required steps and deliverables are met.
  • Lead project teams to deliver objectives on time and within budget.
  • Partner with business relationship managers and portfolio managers to optimize delivery.
  • Act as gatekeeper to ensure all project milestones and deliverables meet TDLC framework.
  • Manage relationships with project stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress and issues.
  • Prepare and orchestrate stakeholder status meetings, such as steering committee and weekly status updates.
  • Coordinate and report on project progress and accomplishments.

Requirements

  • Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and technical/product teams.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Consensus builder with strong teamwork promotion skills.
  • Highly collaborative with good conflict resolution skills.
  • Deep understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Strong work ethic to help the team meet commitments.
  • Ability to manage multiple disparate system projects.
  • Executive presence with high business emotional intelligence (EQ).
  • Experience in facilitation/moderation of large-scale workshops or meetings.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred but not required.
  • 3+ years of Portfolio and Project Management or Scrum Master experience.
  • Prior experience in software development as an analyst.
  • Successful track record with agile methodologies.
