About the position

We are Lockheed Martin, and we are seeking a talented and motivated Scrum Master/Project Engineer with leadership experience to join our growing team on the Performance & Decision Analytics - Analytics & Improvements team within the F-35 Sustainment DSA organization. In this role, you will drive consistent Agile practices through the teams, support the Agile Release Train (ART), collaborate with a diverse and talented group of individuals, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions. As the Agile Scrum Master, you will take on all scrum master responsibilities, ensuring that the team adheres to Agile methodologies and practices. You will be responsible for monitoring team metrics and implementing improvement initiatives, coordinating action items and tracking improvement projects, and ensuring that accurate Agile practices are being followed within the ART. Your role will involve partnering and supporting stakeholders and product owners in gathering product requirements, collaborating with other sustainment disciplines and program personnel, and providing oversight to identify and resolve bottlenecks and risks. You will ensure that the team’s cross-training matrixes are current and act as a change agent for Agile transformation. Coaching will be a key part of your responsibilities, as you will guide the team towards decentralized decision-making, alignment, and coordination. You will also ensure that the program is outcome-driven, driving and supporting PI Planning Events, and ensuring that continuous process improvement cadences are value-driven for the solution. Flexibility, motivation, dedication, attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to multitask will be essential traits for success in this position. Additionally, you will proactively monitor product team Agile Hive boards within the ART and assist teams to ensure accurate performance reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Be the Agile Scrum Master, taking on all scrum master responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (Project, Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, etc.) Physics, Data Science, Data Analysis, or Mathematics with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.
  • Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance to perform job duties.
  • Minimum of 3 years as a Scrum Master or in Agile Development and Agile Project Methodology.
  • SAFe Scrum Master Certification.
  • SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) Certification.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Agile Hive, and MS Office tool suite.
  • Experience in data analytics.
