About the position
The Scrum Master at Arlluk Technology Solutions plays a crucial role in supporting the development team and ensuring the successful implementation of Agile methodologies. This remote position involves guiding the Scrum team, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance the Federal agency's IT capabilities through the Portal and Loan Underwriting System (PLUS). The Scrum Master will be responsible for coaching the team, managing the Product Backlog, and ensuring effective communication among all parties involved in the project.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and coach the Scrum team on Agile practices and principles.
- Facilitate and support all Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Standup, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
- Ensure all Scrum ceremonies are positive, productive, and within the allocated timebox.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner and Business Owners on Product Backlog management.
- Support the internal PMO by representing the Scrum team and tracking development progress and team metrics.
- Create and maintain a rough order of magnitude (ROM) estimate for each release.
- Provide ongoing support and coaching to the Scrum team on Scrum principles and values.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders on the status of Sprint progress.
- Remove impediments and barriers to ensure team success.
- Provide Agile metrics as needed by the business and/or Product Owner.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years' experience in a Scrum Master role supporting a development team.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and the Scrum framework.
- Experience with JIRA or a similar Agile management tool.
- Experience performing release planning in Scrum and forecasting project roadmaps.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Outstanding communication, facilitation, presentation, negotiation, and coaching skills.
- Excellent leadership, management, and soft skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience or knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Experience or knowledge of web development and dashboard/reports.
- Experience or knowledge of MS SQL Server or a relational database.
