Koniag IT Systems, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Scrum Master to support KITS and our government customer. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. This is a Remote opportunity. The successful candidate must be knowledgeable of and experienced with web and desktop application software design and development environments. This is a leadership position and staffing managerial duties are required. Principal responsibilities include providing guidance for technical staff, working directly with engineering teams, managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules. The candidate will utilize Agile methodology to deliver products, collect requirements, review and help write functional and test specifications, and coordinate efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new feature sets. The Scrum Master will also coordinate interdependencies across project teams, obtain and provide visibility into progress and impediments, and escalate concerns where appropriate. They will summarize team objectives, iteration objectives, and program objectives, communicating them across project teams. Coaching teams and stakeholders in lean/agile practices and mindset is essential, as is facilitating communication and collaboration within and around the team, including release & sprint planning, user stories, backlog grooming, and Agile testing. The Scrum Master will identify and remove organizational and team impediments, help resolve issues and conflicts, and shield the team from external interference. Additionally, they will facilitate system demonstrations and must have a solid understanding of DevSecOps tools and concepts. The role requires the ability to write and review detailed documentation, including requirements documents, weekly/monthly reports, and meeting notes. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication (both written and verbal), and excellent time management skills are crucial. Familiarity with application lifecycle management (ALM), information management, and content management applications is also necessary. The candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.
