About the position

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Scrum Master for a six-month project. This position will work closely with the technology teams responsible for data strategy, business applications, reporting, and infrastructure. The Scrum Master will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day development activities, ensuring that the teams are aligned with agile principles and practices, and facilitating effective communication among all stakeholders involved in the project. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating agile ceremonies such as daily scrums, sprint planning, program increment planning, and retrospectives. You will maintain the backlog and prioritize work items according to business value and stakeholder feedback. Tracking and reporting the progress, issues, risks, and dependencies of each team will be essential to ensure timely delivery of sprint and program increment goals. You will also coach and guide the teams on agile principles, practices, and tools, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. As a Scrum Master, you will resolve conflicts and remove impediments that hinder the team's performance and productivity. Effective communication with product owners, business analysts, developers, testers, and other stakeholders will be key to ensuring alignment of expectations and requirements. Additional duties may be assigned as needed, making adaptability and a proactive approach important traits for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day development activities such as assigned project work, running the business, and defect and bug management.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies such as daily scrums, sprint planning, program increment planning, and retrospectives.
• Maintain the backlog and prioritize the work items according to the business value and stakeholder feedback.
• Track and report the progress, issues, risks, and dependencies of each team and ensure timely delivery of sprint and PI goals.
• Coach and guide the teams on agile principles, practices, and tools and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Resolve conflicts and remove impediments that hinder the team's performance and productivity.
• Communicate effectively with the product owners, business analysts, developers, testers, and other stakeholders and ensure alignment of expectations and requirements.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience working with development teams as a scrum master or project manager.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies such as kanban and scrum and ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business.
• Experience with Azure Dev Ops.
• Ability to work on-site full time for a project length of six months.

Nice-to-haves

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of SaFe Principles is a plus.
