About the position

The SCRUM Master position in Dallas, Texas, is a critical role responsible for overseeing the Scrum team and ensuring that all task activities are performed efficiently and effectively. The SCRUM Master will work closely with client personnel, utilizing strong oral and written communication skills to foster positive relationships with stakeholders. This role involves leading a Scrum team through various phases of software development, implementation, and integration projects, ensuring that the highest quality of performance is maintained while minimizing technical debt. In this position, the SCRUM Master will conduct all Scrum-related activities, which include sprint planning, daily scrum meetings, sprint retrospectives, and client demonstrations. The SCRUM Master will also interface regularly with product owners to manage the product backlog and sprint activities, ensuring that the team is aligned with project goals. A key responsibility will be to remove obstacles and manage risks that may hinder team efficiency and effectiveness, thereby enabling the team to deliver high-quality results. Additionally, the SCRUM Master will be responsible for tracking all Scrum activities, ensuring they are kept up-to-date and reported on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will have experience managing software development projects, particularly those utilizing an Agile Scrum approach. Certifications such as PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP), or Scrum Master (CSM) are preferred. Strong leadership, organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role, along with effective time management, project planning, and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all task activities assigned to the Scrum team to ensure timely performance with minimal technical debt.
  • Interface with client personnel to develop strong working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Lead a Scrum team in planning, development, and testing on large software development projects.
  • Conduct all Scrum-related activities, including sprint planning, daily scrum meetings, sprint retrospectives, and client demos.
  • Interface with product owners to manage product backlog and sprint activities.
  • Remove obstacles and manage risks to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Track and report all Scrum activities on a daily basis.
